Mr. "A-B" charged a $26.00 service call charge. He told me it couldn't be fixed and I accepted that. He walked to his truck where he made a call to a chrony and then came back to tell me he could get a "universal" part for it, however I needed to pay for it up front at a cost of $107.00 and would be delivered by the weekend and I waited a whole week before I became suspicious of him simply because he wouldn't return my calls about where is the part and when was he going to come back to fix the washer. Well, Mr. "A-B", there is no such thing as a "universal" part for a Whirlpool--you just made it work with old parts.. What he did is remove the original motor to the washer and replaced it w/a used motor to make the universal part work. This young man is likable, seems eager to work but is kinda' sneaky, moves quickly on repairs and often demands "cash only". He is not timely on service calls or returning phone calls. He offers a 90 day warranty, but good luck in trying to contact him to come back and make good. If the washer broke down within this time frame I would not call on him ever again. .
